toddler sleeping

I am in utter shock.

This is the 3rd night in a row that I have put dd down w/o a hassle. (after fighting MONTHS on this issue)

Although late tonight, we read two books and then I put her down awake. I haven't done that since she was an infant.

There hasn't been any crying, no fighting, and all it took was an explanation that I need to go to bed too. She is such an adult, it scares me. I tried all the 'toddler/kid' ways to putting her to sleep, when in actuality all I had to do was sit her down and tell her that I needed to sleep and she needed to sleep in her big girl bed.

Kids amaze me and I learn from her daily.

Ever have a day where you feel like your are just running a bit slow?

Ok, so I have never claimed to be a genious when it comes to html or php, but dear lord. I am stupid today. So after much diggin and much research it really is that EASY to change things to a site that I am running. I am pretty sure that Forest could have figured it out quicker than I did tonight. Some days I just amaze myself.

rolling power outages + toddler =

bad day lol.

So there were rolling power outages and no electricity for pancakes this morning.

Child throws a tantrum b/c I won't let her wear her crocks b/c it is beyond freezing outside.

We go to Ihop, line is rediculously long, so we decide to go to McD's. Get there, order $15.00 worth of food, and the cc machines are down. Nice.

Leave, go to ATM. Hubby can't remember his PIN.

Go to another McD's, (by this time it is 10:50, only serve bkfst until 11) their cc's are down. I tell hubby to go to work and we will deal. He said no, hold on. Goes to his car and scrounges up about $12.00. I have 3 in bills, and another 2 in quarters. LMAO, so we end up with McD's after all.

So, it is 1:45 and that has been our day. DD is soo tired, I am to huge to carry her anywhere, so I make her walk into the house and she cried and threw a tantrum the entire way up - so what do I do other than bribe her with a movie - her FAV - Cinderella.

LOL - so now we are finally at peace on the couch.

I am pretty sure that I will not be venturing out tomorrow. LOL

Be Careful What You Wish For...

We wanted hubby to get a new job. And now I just want a hubby back.

I need some love. A whiny child isn't much fun for a pg woman. He got a new job and doesn't travel, but we don't see him either. He is crabby (and rightfully so b/c he is soo tired and helping so much around the house which I love him dearly for) but we don't see him. At all. So he may as well be traveling. I am sad. b/c I don't see an end to this until the baby is born, which is quite a ways off.

bummer.

we finally went out last night!

LOL - well, we went to a friends house last night and had a great time!! E played with B so nicely and there wasn't one fight after bedtime, no meltdowns, no non-sharing toys, etc!! We were all impressed for 2 yo to act like that!

We had a great time, it was wonderful to get some adult action and we all came home and slept like logs!

I AM.

I am 8 mos pg.
I am tired 90% of the time.
I am a work widdow the past two weeks.
I am nesting.
I am not cleaning b/c I cannot bend over.
I am enjoying my little girl talking to her dolly telling her all about the computer.
I am enjoying my husband virtually. :(
I am tired of adults acting like children.

the itching has subsided...

yes I was probably going to go crazy should it have been what i thought it was.

I now have another concern...

I had shingles right after chemo. They weren't in your typical shingle findin' place, they were in my buttcrack.

Ok, now that you have giggled a bit, they started out by painfully itching and then a rash. Well.....the top of my buttcrack is itching somethin fierce. While you may think that I am not hip on hygene, I truly am and take multiple baths and showers per day to calm the large bundle of joy in my belly.

Now, the worry part - I have been totally stressed out this week over my OB, a possible new blood clot (that was ruled out via CT on monday), a death in the family, my incompetent OB, etc... I know that my hubby loves me with all his heart, but if I tell him that I am freakin' out over the possiblity of shingles now, he will absolutely freak. I am pg. Um, I can't have shingles. There is no time for this nor is it healthy for either of us.

good lord - the health issues just don't stop. I am thinking if the itching doesn't go away by tuesday morning, I am calling the OB.

and then....

don't tell me you don't want to have any conversations with me ever again and then ask me to patronize your husbands job by listening to him on the radio.

A lesson for Acquaintances...

If you choose to personally attack me both publically and privately, make sure you have your facts straight and DO NOT think that I will bend over and take it.
